building, submergence, breathing control, balance and co-ordination learnt through structured play without arm-bands.
Little Fins II The crucial skills of floating, gliding and kicking; developing an appreciation of water; the basic dynamics
of propulsion.
Little Fins III Learning the bio-mechanics of back-stroke
and front-crawl, whilst improving deep water confidence.
Little Fins IV Improving back-stroke and front-crawl techniques; instruction in bilateral breathing, tumble turns
and racing dives.
Little Fins V Introduction of breast-stroke; continued focus
on back-stroke and front-crawl rhythms, stroke timing, posture and stamina.
Little Fins VI Introduction of butterfly, plus distance swimming and challenge times; emphasis is placed on rhythm, timing, and speed training in all strokes.
Little Fins VII Further attention to the fine-tuning of strokes, style and body posture, plus medley swimming and
sport terminology.
ADULT LESSONS are taught using similar, progressive course elements to those of Little Fins, but are divided into three distinct teaching modules for swimmers of varying age and ability: beginners, intermediate and advanced.
